An escape room, (also called escape game, escape room game or mystery room) is a live action adventure game for people ages 10 to 110. Players are placed in a room and have 60 minutes to complete a mission by solving a series of puzzles and riddles and connecting clues. Every Escape Room has a unique theme with puzzles integrated into the story line. Solve rates for each game vary, so use your wit, your creativity and your inquisitiveness to flow through the game. We require children under the age of 16 to be accompanied by at least one adult participant. The minimum age requirement is 5, but we recommend ages 10+ and please ask that parents use their best judgement when booking a game. Please note that some games are not appropriate for little ones so please contact us for guidance if you have younger children in your group.
Our hours of operation vary by season so be sure to click on our booking calendar for current game times. Our off season hours are Fridays 3-9pm, Saturdays 12-9pm, and Sundays 12-6pm. Our summer hours (mid June – Labor Day) are Sun-Wed 11am-7pm and Thurs-Sat 11am-8:30pm. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended to guarantee a spot. Please note that we often add extra hours/days to the year round schedule during holidays & school breaks. Visit the booking calendar on our website to see the most accurate and up to date availability for a particular day.

Tickets are sold on a tiered pricing system based on your group size.
$36 per player for groups of 2-3
$33 per player for groups of 4-5
$30 per player for groups of 6+
Please note that we do have one 75 minute game, Nocturnal Keep, which has the following pricing:
$38 per player for groups of 4-5
$35 per player for groups of 6+
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Think of it as a theater or concert ticket – you’ve booked a seat to a specific show at a specific time, so if you can’t use it, give it to a friend!
Our largest room can accommodate 8-10 people. Between multiple games, we could potentially accommodate a group of up to 30-35 at one time in our facility. In addition, we can accommodate up to 50 people with our Pili Island Mobile Adventure Game that we can bring to you! Escape games are fun for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate team buildings, family reunions, you name it!
Don’t be! We require you to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled game time. This allows us to brief you on the room and go over other important information. If you arrive at your game start time, you’re actually late! However, PLEASE do not arrive any earlier than 10-15 minutes before your game time in order to avoid coming into contact with and potentially disturbing the previous group. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your arrival time, we may have to shorten your game time as there might be players after you who have reserved a game. We REALLY don’t want that to happen so PLEASE, don’t be late!
Plan to spend about 75 minutes total at Upside Down Escapes. This includes time to go over the rules before you play and time for answering any questions and taking a team photo after the game. When you first arrive, we will go over the story line and rules of the game. Once in the room, you have 60 minutes to complete your mission. The only exception is Nocturnal Keep, which is a 75 minute game. No pressure or anything though. Tick toc, tick toc…
Bring yourself and wear comfortable clothes that you can do splits and cartwheels in. Just kidding! You won’t have to do either, unless you want to. You will enter the room with just you: so bring as little as possible as we have limited storage space for personal items. No need to bring anything but your brain, curiosity, & sense of adventure! Everything you need to solve the puzzles and challenges lies hidden within the room, so no outside knowledge expected or necessary. Not even those sweet nunchuck or bo staff skills.

Nope. You can pretend that you are locked in to add to the excitement and immersion of your game, but fire codes tend to frown upon us trapping people in a room. Safety first! So claustrophobics, fret not! You’re free to leave the room at any time, but if you do we can’t promise that you won’t miss out on some of the action! But hey, we know sometimes nature calls. ♫When you’re in an escape room and your butt begins to boom! Diarr…..♫ Don’t let it get to that point! Just step out of the room, do your biz, and rejoin the group when you’re ready. The same goes for important calls, an awkward itch, or even the zombie apocalypse.

You will have had an hour of immersive entertainment and fun either way, so chin up! We have designed our games to have a range of success rates with some being more successfully solved than others. Win or lose, you are guaranteed a good time! Besides, if you do get stuck on a puzzle, have no fear, your Game Master is here! For realz tho, the Game Master is watching EVERYTHING you do while you play. They see you. They hear you. It’s not creepy at all….. It’s actually for your benefit so we can nudge you along when you get stuck. We know it’s not very exciting to stare at the same puzzle the whole game so don’t let pride get in the way either! Clues are a part of the game so be sure to use them!
